What Has ARCNC Done For You Lately?

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of the Associated Roofing Contractors of Northern California. Your membership support plays a significant role in our efforts on behalf of California’s roofing contractors.

What Has ARCNC Done For You Lately?

This year, our members enjoyed the benefits of various legislative, educational and networking opportunities.

Free dedicated safety training days to member employees:

ARCNC members had the opportunity to take part in Northern California Safety Day this year (hosted by the Roofing Contractors Association of California) – free to all ARCNC member employees. Member employees enjoyed specialized courses on CERTA, CPR/First Aid, roofing safety, heat illness, ladder safety, and much more.

Promoting and preparing for an occupation in construction:

In July we hosted a luncheon meeting with representatives from SETA who discussed their work with pre-construction candidates and helping them prepare for jobs.

Informing you of new state legislation that will impact your business:

ARCNC members had the opportunity to take part in RCAC’s Annual Legislative Meeting in Pleasanton. Members learned about laws passed in 2016 and received insight into how those laws will impact businesses in 2017. Members also heard from EDD on important topics such as the new e-file requirements for all employers with more than 10 employees, and more.

Engaging our members socially:

In May, we hosted a fun and engaging tour at Gladding McBean. Members received the latest from ARCNC, and enjoyed a tour of one of the oldest companies in California.

Opportunities to network while supporting ARCNC and our scholars:

Our annual ARCNC Crab Feed & Tri-Tip Dinner in April at Holy Cross Hall was a great success. Along with being our annual event full of delicious food, prizes, and social fun, our Crab Feed is a significant supporter of the association and our Harry Mullin Scholarships.

Supporting the education of the family members and employees of ARCNC members:

Our 10th Annual Golf Classic took place at Morgan Creek Golf Club on August 19 in support of our Harry Mullin Scholarship Fund. With the support of our members and sponsors, we awarded scholarships to four students who are pursuing their educational and professional goals – including a first generation college student.

New ARCNC Website
We built a brand new ARCNC website, completely redesigned for a better viewing, browsing, and member experience.

As we turn the calendar to the new year, we look forward to your continued membership with the Associated Roofing Contractors of Northern California.

We appreciate your support, and look forward to continuing to offer our members the best in government advocacy, education, and networking.
